Interview with Rifleman Harris from Sharpes

Episode Summary:

In this episode Stephen interviews Jason Salkey, best known in our community as Rifleman Harris from the TV series: Sharpes. Originally aired on the BBC, Sharpes stars Sean Bean as an officer raised from the ranks in the 95th rifles. Set during the war against Napoleon it follows Bean’s character, Richard Sharpe, and a small band of “Chosen men” through adventures originally created by Bernard Cornwell. Listen in as they talk about:
• How he came to be involved in the Sharpe’s series
• The difficulties of recording a historical series in a post-Soviet Union country
• The basis for his character, The Memoirs of Rifleman Harris
